The role involves leading sales and account management efforts for data storage and management solutions within the mining industry, focusing on building long-term strategic relationships, understanding industry challenges, and driving growth through technical and business expertise.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute multi-year account plans aligned with customer objectives and digital transformation roadmaps.
Identify, qualify, and pursue new opportunities within mining accounts to meet sales targets.
Manage opportunity pipeline, forecasting, and sales activities across assigned territory.
Build industry expertise on mining challenges, trends, and technology impacts.
Establish and maintain trusted relationships with C-level and operational stakeholders in mining organizations.
Present compelling proposals and business cases to demonstrate value and ROI to clients.
Lead negotiations, contract discussions, and deal closures in line with company frameworks.
Collaborate with internal teams and partners to deliver customer solutions and outcomes.
Requirements
Five (5) years of experience in enterprise sales, account management, or business development, ideally within infrastructure, data platforms, or enterprise technology.
Proven experience selling to the Mining and/or Energy industry, with a strong understanding of large enterprise customers.
Demonstrated success managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles and large strategic accounts.
Strong balance of technical depth and commercial acumen, with the ability to translate technology into business outcomes.
Excellent understanding of enterprise IT procurement processes and vendor management.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking capabilities.
Highly self-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable working autonomously.
Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Strong organisational and time-management skills in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate, influence, and lead across internal and external stakeholders.
