Job Description
The role involves selling Pure Storage's innovative data storage solutions to commercial customers, building strong relationships, leading sales strategies, and exceeding sales targets in the Missouri/Kansas City area.
Key Responsibilities
- Evangelize Pure Storage's all-flash enterprise storage technology and data solutions to customers
- Build and maintain relationships with customers to demonstrate Pure's value and ensure high customer satisfaction
- Lead pursuit teams and develop account plans to engage internal resources and secure new customers
- Manage a sales pipeline to meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales quotas
- Assess customer needs and position Pure's portfolio to solve their business challenges
- Identify and prospect new customers to expand the customer base
- Lead complex sales processes involving multiple stakeholders and foster teamwork with partners
- Drive post-sales customer success and ensure ongoing customer engagement
Requirements
- 5 years of outside sales experience with a focus on new logo acquisition or business development, consistently delivering 5-10 million USD per year in revenues
- Experience selling into Commercial customers in Missouri, specifically the Kansas City Metro area
- Ability to coordinate the overall strategy and relationship between assigned accounts and Pure Storage
- Experience leading pursuit teams and developing account plans to engage internal resources to execute and win new customers
- Proven track record of exceeding sales quota and driving referenceable business
- Ability to build and invest in relationships with customers to establish value and drive customer satisfaction ratings
- Ability to lead a complex sales process with multiple stakeholders, fostering teamwork and shared ownership internally and with partners
- Excellent interpersonal skills including written and oral communication, able to build and deepen relationships over time
- Ability to assess, plan, and actively manage a sales territory to achieve maximum revenue and efficiency
- Avid hunter with proven prospecting skills, consistently opening doors to new customers and positioning solutions effectively
- Authenticity and a genuine desire to engage customers and understand their business challenges
- Thought leadership, creativity, and a Challenger Mindset, with the ability to apply customer insights and technology expertise to position Pure’s portfolio
- Physical ability to navigate between the boardroom and the data center as required
- Willingness to travel as needed for sales activities and customer engagement
Benefits & Perks
Annual base salary range of 108,500 - 163,000 USD
