Job Description
The role involves selling Pure Storage's all-flash enterprise storage solutions to commercial customers in the Bay Area, building strong customer relationships, leading sales strategies, and exceeding revenue targets through complex, team-driven sales processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Evangelize Pure Storage's all-flash enterprise storage technology and data solutions to customers
- Build and maintain relationships with customers to demonstrate Pure's value and ensure high customer satisfaction
- Lead pursuit teams and develop account plans to engage internal resources and secure new customers
- Manage a sales pipeline to meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales quotas
- Assess customer needs and position Pure's solutions to address business challenges
- Identify and prospect new customers to expand the customer base
- Navigate complex sales processes involving multiple stakeholders
- Drive post-sales customer success and ensure ongoing customer engagement
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of outside sales experience with a focus on new logo acquisition or business development.
- Consistently delivering between 5 million to 10 million USD in revenues per year.
- Experience selling into Commercial customers in the Bay Area.
- Ability to lead and coordinate overall strategy and relationship management between assigned accounts and Pure Storage.
- Experience leading team-selling efforts with teammates and strategic partners around the globe to close business on a quarterly and annual basis.
- Proven prospecting skills with an avid hunter mentality, consistently opening doors to new customers and navigating between the boardroom and the data center.
- Excellent interpersonal skills including written and oral communication, able to build and deepen relationships over time.
- Ability to assess, plan, and actively manage a territory to achieve maximum revenue and efficiency.
- Expertise in leading a complex sales process with multiple stakeholders, fostering teamwork and shared ownership internally and with partners.
- A track record of exceeding quota and driving referenceable business.
- Passion for post-sales customer success.
- Ability to evangelize all-flash enterprise storage technology and data solutions, ensuring customers understand the value proposition.
- Ability to build and invest in customer relationships to establish Pure’s value and drive customer satisfaction.
- Strong leadership in developing account plans and ensuring internal resources are engaged to win new customers.
- Ability to build and maintain a healthy and robust sales pipeline to meet or exceed quarterly and annual quotas.
- Demonstrated thought leadership, creativity, and a Challenger Mindset in applying customer insights and technology solutions.
