Job Description
The Vice President of Development at Prospect14 leads the development and permitting of renewable energy projects, manages a team of developers and engineers, and oversees stakeholder engagement to facilitate the growth of solar and energy storage projects across North America.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of solar projects from Origination handoff through all phases up to construction NTP
- Manage a team of nine developers and interconnection engineers
- Coordinate internal and external resources for project development
- Work with finance and policy teams to identify new markets and strategies
- Forecast project data, schedules, and budgets
- Facilitate real estate negotiations and maintain landowner relationships
- Conduct site assessments to identify and address potential project issues
- Obtain necessary permits at local, state, and federal levels
- Represent Prospect14 in stakeholder engagements with customers, landowners, and officials
- Lead and collaborate on administrative processes, metrics, and reporting for internal and external stakeholders
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, engineering, or related discipline
- Minimum of nine years of experience developing and permitting renewable energy projects
- Demonstrated ability to deliver on community solar and distributed generation energy development projects
- Experience building business tools and IT systems to continuously improve the output of the organization
- Solid oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to take initiative and work well within a team
- Priority management skills
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to quickly work into new tasks and accommodate a dynamic environment
- Willingness to travel as needed to assure project completion on time and within budget
