Job Description

The Curative Specialist plays a key role in renewable energy project development by ensuring clear, accurate, and insurable land titles for solar and energy storage sites, coordinating title reviews and defect resolutions across multiple regions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review title commitments, policies, recorded documents, and surveys to identify defects and encumbrances
  • Coordinate and track title curative actions such as releases, affidavits, and quiet title processes
  • Collaborate with legal, insurance, landowners, and development teams to resolve title issues and maintain insurability
  • Maintain detailed records of title status for each project site
  • Support drafting, execution, and recording of real estate documents related to curative efforts
  • Interpret title reports and provide risk mitigation recommendations to developers and acquisition teams
  • Manage regional differences in title practices and curative requirements for compliance
  • Assist in due diligence for financing and M&A activities related to site control
  • Contribute to process improvements to enhance title clearance efficiency and documentation accuracy

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in real estate, title, or land documentation roles.
  • Proficiency in drafting and reviewing real estate and title curative documents.
  • Experience working with title companies, real estate counsel, or land documentation in a large-scale or multi-property environment.
  • Familiarity with surveys, legal descriptions, easements, encroachments, and typical title exceptions.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills with experience tracking multiple assets/sites simultaneously.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and summarize recorded documents.
  • Experience supporting due diligence for financing and M&A activities related to site control.
