Job Description
A Regulatory Compliance Analyst responsible for supporting NERC and other regulatory compliance programs for energy generation assets, including inverter-based resources, ensuring adherence to standards, preparing for audits, and maintaining compliance documentation within a fast-growing energy storage company.
Key Responsibilities
- Support NERC and other regulatory compliance programs for generation assets, including inverter-based resources
- Track regulatory requirements, deadlines, and reporting obligations
- Organize, review, and maintain compliance evidence and documentation
- Assist with audits, RFIs, self-certifications, and regulatory reviews
- Review procedures and technical documents for compliance alignment
- Identify compliance gaps and support corrective actions
- Monitor regulatory changes and communicate impacts to stakeholders
- Support compliance activities related to Generator Owner and Generator Operator responsibilities
- Coordinate with operations, engineering, and regulatory teams to ensure compliance readiness
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, renewable energy, or a related field
- At least 2 years of experience in NERC regulatory compliance, electric utility operations, generation compliance, market compliance, or a related field
- Familiarity with compliance requirements applicable to generation facilities, including inverter-based resources
- Knowledge of NERC Reliability Standards and familiarity with compliance programs such as ERCOT, PUCT, or other utility regulatory frameworks
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information to diverse audiences
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a cross-functional environment with both technical and non-technical team members who are geographically dispersed
- Proven ability to stay connected and maintain communication across distributed teams in hybrid or remote settings
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
