  • Operate and troubleshoot various test equipment and chambers, ensuring equipment and process reliability
  • Analyze test data to identify anomalies, root causes, and areas for improvement
  • Document test results, notes, and anomalies, and communicate findings to engineering and manufacturing teams

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Thermal Engineering or Electro-Mechanics Robotics Engineering.
  • 4 years of relevant work experience in the aerospace or space systems field.
  • Experience in environmental test qualification, running and managing test projects with at least 3 months of Thermal Vacuum testing experience.

  • Knowledge of heat transfer principles and thermal management technology.
  • Data analysis skills for evaluating system performance and identifying anomalies.
  • Mechanical systems engineering intuition and critical thinking.
  • Proficiency in using Solidworks CAD FEA simulation or equivalent software.
  • Hands-on experience with test equipment such as thermal chambers, TVAC chambers, pumps, valves, compressors, heat exchangers, power supplies, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and DAQ systems.
  • Ability to operate and understand a variety of computer-automated and manual test equipment, including thermal and TVAC chambers, pumps, valves, and compressors.
  • Experience in developing, coordinating, and leading environmental test campaigns, especially for Thermal Vacuum (TVAC) and thermal testing.
  • Ability to conduct hands-on operations like GSE and instrumentation setup, inspections, and test execution.
  • Ability to take ownership of equipment and processes to identify failures, anomalies, root causes, and drive issues to resolution during and after testing.
  • Experience in analyzing and reviewing test data using numerical data analysis tools to interpret test results and ensure hardware operates as expected.
  • Ability to create, develop, and test innovative mechanical solutions and testing methods.
  • Excellent communication skills for documenting tests, anomalies, and test results, and for developing close communication with engineering and manufacturing teams.
