This internship involves designing and developing management training modules using instructional design principles and e-learning platforms to support the growth of effective managers within a fast-growing technology company.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with the L D Program Manager to design and build core Manager Essentials course modules.
Learn and operate the Rise content authoring platform to develop interactive learning content.
Build and configure courses in Skilljar LMS, including sequencing, assessments, and tracking.
Research best practices in manager development and instructional design.
Develop supporting materials such as facilitator guides, quick-reference resources, and job aids.
Design assessment and feedback mechanisms within courses, including knowledge checks and scenario-based activities.
Participate in team planning sessions and contribute to broader learning initiatives.
Requirements
Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Learning Sciences, Organizational Development, Human Resources, Education, or a related field.
Genuine interest in how people learn, including curiosity about adult learning theory, instructional design principles, and understanding what makes training actually change behavior rather than just check a box.
Comfort with technology platforms and a willingness to learn new tools quickly, including Rise and Skilljar, with the ability to pick up new software without extensive hand-holding.
Solid attention to detail and organizational skills necessary for course design, sequencing, formatting, and content accuracy.
Good writing skills for developing clear, concise instructional content accessible to a diverse audience of managers with varying experience levels.
Ability to work collaboratively with the L D Program Manager on a shared project, taking direction while also contributing ideas and creative problem-solving.
Comfort with ambiguity, as the program is being built for the first time and some aspects will evolve as the project progresses.

Compensation range: $35 - $60 per hour (US), final salary determined by experience, skills, and location
Work schedule: Full-time, hybrid role requiring work from San Francisco office 3 days per week
