Job Description
A Satellite Tasking Engineer supports the planning and execution of Earth observation satellite imagery collection, including performance analysis, feasibility studies, and development of operational tools, working closely with cross-functional teams in a dynamic, remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support satellite collection planning during operational processes
- Prepare geospatial data, maps, and dashboards for analysis
- Conduct feasibility studies for satellite imagery acquisition
- Develop, validate, and automate operational tools
- Analyze collection performance and monitor orders
- Collaborate with teams such as image quality support, mission software, and space operations
Requirements
- 2 years of relevant experience in satellite operations, geospatial data analysis, or related fields.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Software development experience in Python or an equivalent programming language.
- Data-driven mindset and comfortable with data analysis.
- Sound SQL skills, familiar with git version control.
- Understanding of satellite imagery and remote sensing.
- Self-starter that proactively tackles problems and brings in their own ideas.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment.
- Team player with an ability to learn and collaborate across teams.
- Fluent in written and spoken English, the language of the company.
- Application for access to export-controlled information must be able to access all applicable export-controlled information without additional export licensing being required by the Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls.

Salary Range (varies by location): 84,900 - 106,100 USD (NYC), 90,200 - 112,700 USD (San Francisco), 79,300 - 99,100 USD (US National)
