The Account Development Representative at Samsara is responsible for generating sales opportunities through outbound outreach, building pipelines, and developing relationships with prospective customers in the IoT and SaaS space, with opportunities for career growth and professional development.
Key Responsibilities
Source pipelines for the EMEA business through outbound outreach via phone, email, and LinkedIn.
Participate in trade shows and events to represent the Samsara brand and connect with prospects.
Become a product expert and learn the Samsara sales approach.
Maintain detailed records of interactions with prospects and accounts in CRM Salesforce.
Drive sales pipeline growth by engaging with prospective customers and nurturing relationships.
Support the sales team by creating high-quality sales engagements and supporting account executives.
Partner with field account executives and regional managers on large accounts and territory planning.
Participate in ongoing training and professional development to improve sales skills and product knowledge.
Requirements
1-3 years of professional experience, ideally in customer facing roles
6-12 months of sales experience as a minimum
Highly motivated and committed, with strong desire to work in target driven sales
Proven track record of consistent over achievement of targets and expectations of previous roles
Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
Curious and able to ask insightful questions
A champion of a Growth Mindset
Highly proficient in English and in German
Willingness to collaborate and influence in a win as a team environment
Experience in closing-sales roles (preferred but not mandatory)
Proven track record of achievements beyond work, e.g., academics, sports, charity (preferred but not mandatory)
Ability to work in working hours in CEST time zone
Legal right to work in Germany, France, The Netherlands, or United Kingdom (if applicable to the candidate's location)
