The role involves supporting Planet's developer ecosystem by improving technical documentation, enabling customer self-service, and assisting with the adoption of APIs and platform capabilities through technical content creation, community engagement, and cross-team collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
Support the development and maintenance of technical documentation for APIs, SDKs, and platform workflows.
Create and update developer onboarding content, technical guides, and evaluation scripts.
Assist in organizing and delivering developer education events such as hackathons, workshops, and webinars.
Engage with the developer community by answering questions in online forums.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve the clarity, accuracy, and usability of technical content.
Contribute to tooling improvements and perform lightweight coding to enhance developer experience.
Requirements
1 years of experience in technical documentation, developer education, or developer support.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Geospatial Studies, or equivalent experience.
Basic proficiency in Python and/or JavaScript.
Familiarity with Git and developer workflows including merge requests, repositories, and version control.
Interest in developer experience, APIs, and technical education.
Solid written communication skills with attention to clarity and structure.
Ability to collaborate across engineering, product, and support teams.
Comfort working in an evolving technical environment with multiple priorities.
