This role involves developing and scaling satellite assembly, integration, and testing processes, working hands-on with complex hardware in a cleanroom environment, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful satellite production and deployment.
Key Responsibilities
Support the assembly, integration, and testing of satellites and subsystems
Develop and document assembly procedures and work instructions
Design mechanical and electrical equipment and fixtures for assembly, integration, and testing
Drive non-conformances to resolution and implement process improvements
Recommend facilities and capital equipment upgrades to scale manufacturing processes
Train production technicians to transition manufacturing lines from R&D to production
Monitor production metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions
Requirements
Four years of manufacturing development experience.
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
Experience building satellites or similarly complex optical and electromechanical assemblies in a cleanroom environment.
Experience reading technical drawings.
Excellent SolidWorks skills to develop tooling fixturing to interface with spacecraft and to extract useful views for use in work instructions.
Hands-on experience with hardware assembly, integration, and test.
Excellent attention to detail and technical writing skills for documenting assembly and test processes.
