Job Description
The Impact Engagement Manager at Planet is responsible for coordinating and managing impact programs related to environmental and humanitarian initiatives, working with partners and internal teams to ensure successful implementation and measurable outcomes using satellite data and geospatial technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage impact programs and projects related to Planet's digital public goods and expanding impact in Africa
- Demonstrate the benefits of Planet products for impact-oriented use cases to partners and stakeholders
- Onboard, support, and build trusted relationships with Impact partners and customers
- Communicate with partners and internal teams throughout project lifecycle to ensure successful outcomes
- Assist partners and customers in expanding their usage of Planet's products in areas like food security, conservation, and climate
Requirements
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in customer support and engagement or a related field.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification.
- Good working knowledge of satellite remote sensing, GIS, and geospatial products.
- Ability to successfully communicate and coordinate with international partners and customers, and across internal teams.
- Solid problem-solving skills, proactive work style, and ability to work independently as well as with a team.
- Experience and interest in environmental stewardship, food security, and livelihood improvement initiatives.
- Professional working proficiency in English, the language of the company.
- Ability to travel within the region, as well as to Europe and North America.
