Job Description
The Impact Engagement Manager at Planet is responsible for managing partnerships and projects focused on sustainability, conservation, and humanitarian efforts using satellite data, ensuring successful implementation, impact measurement, and fostering long-term relationships with external organizations.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate impact programs and special projects related to Planet's digital public goods and crisis response
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with impact partners and customers
- Onboard and support impact partners and customers in product adoption and provisioning
- Communicate with partners and internal teams throughout project lifecycle
- Assist partners in expanding usage of products in areas like conservation, sustainability, and security
- Ensure impact projects are properly scoped, contracted, and set up for success
- Unblock issues and facilitate collaboration among internal stakeholder groups
Requirements
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in project management or a related field.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification.
- Good working knowledge of remote sensing, GIS, and geospatial products.
- Ability to successfully communicate and coordinate with international partners and customers, and across internal teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills, proactive work style, and ability to work independently.
- Experience and interest in sustainability and environmental stewardship, food security and regenerative agriculture, and or peace and security.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to travel.
