Job Description
The Solar Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing the construction of community and commercial solar energy projects across the US, ensuring timely delivery within budget while managing stakeholders and maintaining safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, resource, and implement community solar and commercial industrial solar projects.
- Manage all aspects of the construction process for assigned projects.
- Coordinate with owners, subcontractors, engineers, and vendors throughout project lifecycle.
- Ensure safety compliance and adherence to construction standards.
- Monitor and control project budgets and schedules.
- Address and resolve issues related to project scope, schedule, and other project elements.
- Maintain effective communication with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- Experience in planning, resource allocation, and implementation of Community Solar and Commercial Industrial ground mount, rooftop, and carport projects across the nation.
- Ability to manage all aspects of the construction process for a set of projects, including working with owners, subcontractors, engineers, and vendors.
- Understanding of the construction business, including safety compliance requirements.
- Ability to work under deadlines and manage project schedules effectively.
- Strong problem-solving abilities to deal with shifts in project scope, schedule, and other elements of the project lifecycle.
- Experience in managing project budgets and schedules.
- Excellent communication skills to maintain a high level of communication both internally and with external stakeholders.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management within the renewable energy or construction industry.
- Educational background sufficient to understand complex project requirements; specific degree requirements are not explicitly stated but relevant experience is required.
