Job Description
The Solar Project Manager will oversee the planning, resource allocation, and execution of community solar and commercial solar projects, managing construction processes, budgets, schedules, and stakeholder communications to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, resource, and implement Community Solar and Commercial Industrial ground mount, rooftop, and carport projects.
- Manage all aspects of the construction process for assigned projects.
- Collaborate with owners, subcontractors, engineers, and vendors throughout project execution.
- Ensure safety compliance and adherence to construction standards.
- Monitor and control project budgets and schedules.
- Address and resolve issues related to project scope, schedule, and other lifecycle elements.
- Maintain effective communication with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- Experience in planning, resource allocation, and implementation of Community Solar and Commercial Industrial ground mount, rooftop, and carport projects across the nation.
- Ability to manage all aspects of the construction process for multiple projects, including working with owners, subcontractors, engineers, and vendors.
- Understanding of the construction business, including safety compliance requirements.
- Ability to work under deadlines and manage project schedules effectively.
- Strong problem-solving abilities to deal with shifts in project scope, schedule, and other elements of the project lifecycle.
- Experience in managing project budgets and schedules.
- Excellent communication skills to maintain a high level of communication both internally and with external stakeholders.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management within the renewable energy or construction industry.
- Educational background in a relevant field such as engineering, construction management, or related discipline (specific degree requirements not explicitly stated but implied).
