The Field Application Engineer provides technical support and expertise to promote and sell Phoenix Contact's automation, control, and networking products, working closely with sales teams and customers to drive sales growth and develop engineered solutions in the industrial automation industry.
Key Responsibilities
Provide technical expertise to support automation, control, and networking product sales.
Collaborate with sales teams to develop and execute joint sales activities and strategies.
Act as the technical representative for Phoenix Contact products, supporting sales and customer needs.
Develop sales tools, collateral, and marketing campaigns to drive product adoption.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders to facilitate sales growth.
Deliver product presentations and hands-on demonstrations to promote automation, control, and networking solutions.
Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of Phoenix Contact products and solutions.
Utilize CRM systems for customer management, reporting, and tracking sales activities.
Drive the use of sales tools and resources to maximize productivity and customer satisfaction.
Proactively identify customer needs and develop value-added applications and engineered solutions.
Requirements
Four-year college degree
Technical discipline preferred and or equivalent industry experience
Minimum of 3 years sales or marketing experience with automation and industrial control products
Ability to work independently from home office and communicate effectively with colleagues with limited supervision
Excellent oral, written communication, and presentation skills
Self-motivated with the ability to learn and adapt quickly
Must be able to travel via airplane
Must have a valid driver s license and be able to travel via automobile for up to six hours at a time
Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
Must be able to travel overnight 40 or as dictated by assigned territory
