Job Description

The Vice President of Creative Brand Marketing will lead the development and execution of the Pendulum brand's creative strategy across various channels, transforming brand and product stories into compelling campaigns and digital experiences to drive awareness and growth for a pioneering microbiome-focused company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define, elevate, and express the Pendulum brand across all touchpoints.
  • Translate brand strategy and product story into high-performing creative campaigns, advertising, and digital experiences.
  • Own the development of breakthrough storytelling and campaigns in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Manage the creation of assets from ideation to completion, ensuring creative standards are met.
  • Utilize modern creative tools and workflows, including Photoshop, Figma, video editing, motion, UX, and AI tools.
  • Build and evolve a cohesive, differentiated brand narrative to drive awareness and growth.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to develop and implement brand and marketing strategies.

Requirements

  • Experience in developing and executing high-performing creative campaigns, advertising, product storytelling, and digital experiences that translate brand strategy and product story into emotionally resonant content.
  • Deep experience in direct-to-consumer marketing and understanding of what motivates consumers to engage, purchase, and stay loyal.
  • Fluency in modern creative tools and workflows including Photoshop, Figma, video editing, motion graphics, UX design, and cutting-edge AI creative tools.
  • Ability to take a project from ideation to finished assets, demonstrating a hybrid of conceptual, strategic, big-idea thinking and hands-on execution skills.
  • Proven track record of building and evolving a brand, with experience in creating a cohesive, differentiated narrative that drives awareness and growth.
  • Experience working closely with cross-functional teams such as Chief Brand Officer, Growth team, Product team, and external brand agencies to develop breakthrough storytelling and campaigns.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, early-stage environment, demonstrating resourcefulness, adaptability, and collaborative creation.
  • Strong campaign creation skills and experience as a brand builder and storyteller, with the capability to develop and execute creative strategies that elevate a brand.
  • Possession of a strong point of view and the craft skills necessary to bring that point of view to life through creative assets.
  • Excitement and interest in exploring and leveraging AI and new creative technologies to enhance brand storytelling and campaign development.
  • Willingness to travel to San Francisco approximately once per quarter for key meetings, shoots, strategy sessions, or team collaboration.
