Job Description
The role involves managing sales operations for onsite solar PPA solutions, including developing new customer relationships, negotiating contracts, and driving growth in renewable energy projects across Japan. The position focuses on expanding distributed generation solutions through strategic business development and project management.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and exceed sales targets for onsite solar PPA services
- Lead commercial negotiations and contracting of onsite PPAs
- Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies for potential projects
- Prepare commercial offers demonstrating energy cost savings
- Collaborate with engineering, installation, and O&M teams to ensure project delivery
- Manage multiple sales projects concurrently and provide progress reports
- Develop and implement onsite PPA sales strategies targeting high-energy sectors
- Identify and prioritize facility-specific opportunities based on energy usage and regulatory compliance
- Build strategic partnerships with real estate developers, facility managers, and industry associations
- Support outreach campaigns through industry events and sustainability initiatives
Requirements
- University degree or higher in any field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience selling intangible solutions and closing numerous commercial contract deals.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience related to renewable energy sales.
- High self-motivation and excellent leadership abilities.
- Strategic thinking and strong problem-solving skills with a results-oriented mindset.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- A strong customer-oriented approach and a collaborative teamwork spirit.
- Business level skills in both speaking and writing in Japanese.
- Proficient level skills in both speaking and writing in English.
