The Japan Country Head at Peak Energy is responsible for leading all aspects of the company's renewable energy projects in Japan, including business development, project construction, financing, and asset management, while overseeing a team and driving growth and profitability in the market.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and oversee all aspects of business development, construction, financing, and asset management in Japan.
Develop and expand utility-scale solar and BESS projects, including signing PPAs and acquiring sites.
Advance existing project pipeline to ensure timely construction and budget adherence.
Identify and pursue new market opportunities within Japan's renewable energy sector.
Manage country-level portfolio profitability and implement asset optimization strategies.
Oversee statutory and corporate compliance, reporting, and ESG metrics for local entities.
Lead, mentor, and grow a multidisciplinary team across development, finance, operations, and engineering.
Represent Peak Energy Japan in external forums, with partners, regulators, and investors.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field; MBA preferred.
Proven leadership experience in renewable energy, with solar expertise strongly preferred.
Demonstrated success in managing P L and delivering complex infrastructure projects.
Strong understanding of Japan's energy market, regulatory landscape, and development environment.
Fluent in Japanese and English.
