Job Description

The Project Manager will oversee the development, construction, and operation of renewable energy projects, primarily solar and battery systems, ensuring successful project execution, EPC management, and technical expertise to support Peak Energy's expansion in Asia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Select and onboard EPC partners, ensuring qualification and compliance with company standards
  • Manage the construction of renewable energy projects in collaboration with EPC partners
  • Advise the development team on constructive aspects during early project stages
  • Oversee project operation phase as the local technical expert
  • Lead technical aspects of projects, ensuring alignment with stakeholders and achievement of milestones
  • Ensure compliance with OHS standards during project execution
  • Bring technical expertise in solar (preferably rooftop C&I) and battery technologies to enhance project development
  • Participate in project development to provide technical guidance and support
  • Negotiate EPC contracts to secure favorable terms and conditions

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field; an advanced degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience in Solar energy projects, including successfully building at least 15 MW of renewable energy projects, with a mix of small-scale C I projects.
  • Demonstrated track record of managing operations and maintenance (O M) relationships and conducting O M functions when needed.
  • Experience in negotiating EPC contracts, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for the organization, and working closely with legal and procurement teams to finalize agreements.
  • Experience managing construction projects in the renewable energy sector, with senior-level leadership experience.
  • Expertise in solar technologies, preferably including rooftop installations, and battery technologies to enhance technical capabilities.
  • Knowledge of standard solar-related tools such as Pvsyst and Helioscope.
  • Ability to participate in project development from early stages and advise the development team on constructive aspects of the project.
  • Ability to identify EPC partners, ensure qualification and vendor onboarding based on Peak Energy SOP, and lead technical aspects of project execution.
  • Experience in collaborating with key stakeholders to align technical strategies and achieve project milestones.
  • Demonstrated ability to bring projects to completion on time and within budget.
  • Physical ability to oversee construction activities and site management as required.
