Job Description
The Construction Manager will oversee the on-site construction activities of a solar power plant project, ensuring timely progress, safety compliance, and quality standards while coordinating with contractors and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee on-site activities including equipment delivery, construction progress, testing, and commissioning of solar power projects
- Drive contractors and operations teams to meet performance targets and resolve delays
- Coordinate construction interfaces and resolve site-level issues with EPC contractors, OEs, and project team
- Monitor project schedule, identify risks to milestones, and recommend corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with HSE requirements, local regulations, standards, and LGU obligations
- Lead punch-list inspections and ensure conformance with technical specifications
- Participate in project closeout and lessons learned reviews
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Civil Engineering
- Licensed Electrical Engineer or Civil Engineer
- Over 10 years of experience as a Project Engineer or Construction Manager
- Strong background in construction management, with solid knowledge of QA QC and HSE standards
- Hands-on experience in solar project construction and implementation
- In-depth understanding of construction-related permitting processes and the preparation and execution of QA QC and HSE plans
- Proficient in construction monitoring tools and project management software e.g., MS Project, Primavera
