Job Description
The Senior Technical Recruiter is responsible for managing full-cycle recruitment for technical, engineering, and scientific roles in a renewable energy and ocean technology company, focusing on sourcing, screening, and building candidate pipelines to support the company's growth and mission.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for technical, engineering, and scientific roles.
- Collaborate with team members to define role requirements and search strategies.
- Develop and execute sourcing campaigns using outbound search, referrals, and outreach.
- Screen candidates for technical skills and cultural fit, guiding them through interviews.
- Coordinate onsite interviews, including scheduling and logistics.
- Build and maintain candidate pipelines for hard-to-fill roles.
- Partner with People Operations and hiring teams to ensure a high-quality candidate experience.
- Use recruiting data and market insights to refine search strategies and support hiring decisions.
- Represent the company's mission and technical work confidently to candidates.
Requirements
- Five (5) years of full-cycle recruiting experience, successfully hiring for technical, engineering, and scientific roles
- Demonstrated success sourcing hard-to-find technical talent through outbound search and targeted outreach
- Experience recruiting in startup or high-growth environments with evolving priorities
- Strong communication skills and a candidate-first approach
- Experience with applicant tracking systems, with Greenhouse preferred, and sourcing tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter, Gem, etc.
- Skilled in evaluating candidates for technical capabilities and cultural alignment
- Ability to work effectively in fast-moving, collaborative environments
- Experience managing pipelines for high-volume or hard-to-fill roles
- Comfort using data and market insights to guide hiring decisions
- Knowledge of current recruiting trends, compensation norms, and best practices in technical hiring
- Curiosity about emerging technologies and a genuine interest in the technical and scientific work of supported teams
- This is an on-site position located in Portland, Oregon
