Job Description
The Senior Technical Recruiter is responsible for managing full-cycle recruiting for technical, engineering, and scientific roles to support the company's mission of developing renewable ocean energy technologies, focusing on sourcing, screening, and building strong candidate pipelines in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for technical, engineering, and scientific roles
- Define role requirements and develop sourcing strategies
- Develop and execute sourcing campaigns using outbound search, referrals, and targeted outreach
- Screen candidates for technical skills and cultural fit
- Coordinate onsite interviews and manage scheduling and logistics
- Build and maintain candidate pipelines for hard-to-fill roles
- Partner with hiring teams to ensure a high-quality candidate experience
- Use recruiting data and market insights to refine search strategies and support hiring decisions
Requirements
- Five years of full-cycle recruiting experience, successfully hiring for technical, engineering, and scientific roles.
- Demonstrated success sourcing hard-to-find technical talent through outbound search and targeted outreach.
- Experience recruiting in startup or high-growth environments with evolving priorities.
- Strong communication skills and a candidate-first approach.
- Experience with applicant tracking systems, with Greenhouse preferred, and sourcing tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter, Gem, etc.
- Skilled in evaluating candidates for technical capabilities and cultural alignment.
- Ability to work effectively in fast-moving, collaborative environments.
- Experience managing pipelines for high-volume or hard-to-fill roles.
- Comfort using data and market insights to guide hiring decisions.
- Knowledge of current recruiting trends, compensation norms, and best practices in technical hiring.
- Curiosity about emerging technologies and a genuine interest in the technical and scientific work of supported teams.
- This is an on-site position located in Portland, Oregon, requiring the ability to relocate if necessary.
