Job Description

The Senior Business Operations Director leads the company's strategic planning, operational rhythm, and high-impact projects, partnering with leadership to drive business growth, optimize performance, and implement organizational changes in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the company's Operating Rhythm, including corporate strategy, investment decisions, and performance tracking.
  • Facilitate monthly and weekly business reviews across business units.
  • Lead high-impact, high-complexity projects such as incubating new concepts, resolving critical problems, and managing stakeholder communications.
  • Partner with leadership and business units to evaluate new ideas, establish OKRs, and develop operational scorecards.
  • Manage top-priority projects by creating progress reports and ensuring successful completion.
  • Develop and execute communication plans to support organizational initiatives.
  • Build cross-functional relationships and establish trust as a business partner.
  • Leverage data and analytics to inform strategic decisions and optimize key metrics.
  • Identify and develop business cases for growth initiatives and operational improvements.
  • Support organizational change management to facilitate operational scaling and process adjustments.

Requirements

  • Ten (10) years of work experience in a relevant field with cross-functional and collaborative management experience, and a track record of utilizing data to drive business impact.
  • Ideal experience in complex operational or marketplace businesses.
  • Strong executive presence with strong communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize, and a strong bias for solving problems.
  • Outstanding strategic planning skills and the ability to translate complex company objectives into actionable plans.
  • Data-oriented with the ability to leverage analytics to inform key decisions, including sharing metrics from previous operations managed and extensive knowledge of the latest systems platforms.
  • Ability to create dashboards to reflect key metrics and understand how and when to optimize for each metric.
  • History of identifying and developing business cases for strategic growth initiatives and shepherding operational improvements from ideation to implementation.
  • Experience working at an organization or within a business unit that experienced significant growth.
  • Comfortable operating in a lean, fast-moving environment and able to wear multiple hats, adjusting processes and systems as the company scales.
  • Ability to create structure in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
  • Demonstrated success in managing multiple stakeholders, resolving conflicts within teams, prioritizing, and driving results with a high emphasis on quality.
  • Advanced data skills, including proficiency in Excel, Sheets, and Looker.
  • Undergraduate degree is required.
  • Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check.
