Job Description
The Senior Quality Control Technician, HVAC is responsible for reviewing and verifying the quality and compliance of HVAC installation projects, conducting site inspections, and providing feedback to ensure systems meet design specifications, energy efficiency standards, and customer satisfaction goals.
Responsibilities
- •Review and close-out project milestone packages, including sales and design plans, installation photos, and verification measures for HVAC projects
- •Verify HVAC system performance, compliance with specifications, and energy efficiency standards
- •Inspect HVAC installations on-site to assess quality and provide feedback to contractors
- •Evaluate HVAC control and monitoring platforms for proper configuration and functionality
- •Approve or reject project milestones and communicate feedback to external partners
- •Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to project milestone rejections
- •Develop and refine quality control processes, installation guidelines, and contractor training programs
- •Perform site inspections of mechanical, structural, and electrical components of HVAC installations
- •Manage partner support requests and address escalations promptly
- •Analyze data to identify trends and recommend corrective actions
Requirements
- •Four years of experience in a technical or construction role within the HVAC industry.
- •Experience with interdepartmental problem-solving or project management.
- •Familiarity with HVAC system design and energy efficiency standards preferred.
- •Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to influence third-party contractors.
- •Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize effectively.
- •Proficiency with data analysis and standard business tools such as G-Suite, Microsoft Office, or similar platforms.
- •Ability to access mechanical rooms, rooftops, or confined spaces, including working in various weather conditions.
- •Capacity to stand, kneel, or bend for extended periods during inspections.
- •Commitment to safety protocols and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
