Job Description
The Director of Business Development, Battery and Home Electrification, is a senior leadership role responsible for identifying, developing, and executing strategic partnerships and new business opportunities in the solar storage and home electrification industry, with a focus on expanding product channels and driving revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, assess, negotiate, and close new business opportunities aligned with strategic growth objectives.
- Develop and leverage industry networks to establish commercial partnerships and channel development.
- Lead account development efforts and initiate prospecting activities for channel partners and corporate clients.
- Drive strategic relationships and demand programs with partners such as home builders, utilities, and equipment manufacturers.
- Collaborate on the development of new products, services, and channels through market research and financial analysis.
- Support and collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful implementation and delivery of solutions.
- Develop educational and sales materials to articulate product offerings and support product adoption.
- Monitor industry trends, regulations, and technological advancements to identify growth opportunities.
Requirements
- Eight (8) years of B2B enterprise business development, sales, and/or account management experience.
- Mandatory experience in Solar Storage and Home Electrification industry, ideally with experience in consumer finance as well.
- Experience with Virtual Power Plant (VPP) and other bespoke utility-level programs.
- Superior communication skills both oral and written.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Proven analytical skills and ability to influence people both internally and externally.
- Proven ability to ideate, develop, and execute strategic plans in close collaboration with internal and external partners and stakeholders.
- Decisive and able to move with speed to implement ideas.
- Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
