Job Description
The Cash Application Analyst is responsible for ensuring accurate processing and reconciliation of customer payments, maintaining financial data integrity, and supporting internal controls to facilitate smooth financial operations within a clean energy company.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply and reconcile customer payments across multiple systems and funding channels.
- Prepare and manage weekly wire transfers to ensure proper fund alignment.
- Research and resolve discrepancies related to unapplied cash or payment issues.
- Review cash collections against forecasts and investigate discrepancies.
- Coordinate the setup and management of bank accounts with the subservicer.
- Maintain accurate transaction records and perform account reconciliations.
- Support internal control processes, fund assignment reviews, and audit documentation.
- Identify root causes of recurring issues and recommend process improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field or equivalent experience.
- 2-4 years of experience in cash application, accounts receivable, or related finance operations.
- Experience with Netsuite and payment platforms preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Excel.
- Good collaboration and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Knowledge of construction or solar industry preferred.
