Job Description
The Technical Support Specialist is responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving issues related to residential solar systems, providing remote support to customers throughout the system's lifespan, and collaborating with various teams to ensure optimal system performance and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze the performance of residential solar assets to ensure optimal functionality.
- Provide remote troubleshooting support and guide customers through issue resolution procedures.
- Investigate and escalate unresolved or complex system issues to the Field Service Team.
- Maintain accurate records of issues, resolutions, and communications; generate performance reports.
- Identify trends and recurring issues to collaborate on solutions that improve system performance and customer satisfaction.
- Manage service requests and issues through the ticketing system, ensuring timely resolution within SLAs.
- Coordinate with Service Project Coordinators regarding customer preferences and scheduling.
- Liaise with cross-functional teams to facilitate seamless service delivery and issue resolution.
- Conduct root-cause analysis of service cases and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree (BS or BA) is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a customer support, technical support, or sales support role is preferred.
- Proactive, adaptable, and resourceful attitude to excel in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Strong customer service mindset and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong enterprise software skills, including proficiency in G Suite, Salesforce, and Zendesk.
- Knowledge of the construction or solar industry is preferred.
- Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check.
