The role involves overseeing partnership and tax equity functions within the finance team, including tax compliance, planning, and reporting for a clean tech company focused on renewable energy solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee partnership federal and state income tax returns for accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
Establish and maintain cash tax forecast models incorporating partnership distributions.
Provide strategic guidance and oversight for tax planning initiatives.
Serve as primary liaison with external partnership tax advisors and tax authorities.
Establish and maintain internal controls over income tax accounting and reporting.
Oversee tax credit registrations and transfers.
Review partnership and joint venture tax-related general ledger reconciliations and HLBV calculations.
Prepare and review tax equity fund workpapers and tax return filings.
Monitor legislative changes in tax law and assess their impact on the company’s tax positions.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
CPA certification with previous experience at a Big 4 accounting firm
Minimum of 10 years of tax experience
Solid understanding of partnership tax concepts
Experience with renewal energy Investment Tax Credit is a plus
Experience with tax equity investors is a plus
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in tax reporting and compliance
Demonstrated leadership abilities with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and decision-making
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate in a team-based environment
Availability for occasional travel
