Job Description
The Senior Business Operations Director leads the company's strategic planning, operational rhythms, and high-impact projects to drive business growth and efficiency, collaborating with leadership and cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, scaling environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the company's operating rhythm, including strategy, performance tracking, and business reviews.
- Partner with leadership and business units to evaluate new ideas, establish OKRs, and develop scorecards.
- Manage top-priority projects, monitor progress, and ensure successful completion.
- Develop communication plans and build cross-functional relationships to foster trust and collaboration.
- Support organizational and operational change initiatives using change management best practices.
Requirements
- Ten years of work experience in a relevant field with cross-functional and collaborative management experience, and a track record of utilizing data to drive business impact.
- Ideal experience in complex operational or marketplace businesses.
- Strong executive presence with strong communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize, and a strong bias for solving problems.
- Outstanding strategic planning skills and the ability to translate complex company objectives into actionable plans.
- Data-oriented with the ability to leverage analytics to inform key decisions, including sharing metrics from previous operations managed and extensive knowledge of the latest systems platforms.
- Deep understanding of how and when to optimize for each metric and how to create dashboards to reflect these metrics.
- History of identifying and developing business cases for strategic growth initiatives and shepherding operational improvements from ideation to implementation.
- Experience working at an organization or within a business unit that experienced significant growth.
- Comfortable operating in an environment that is lean and fast-moving.
- Ability to wear multiple hats and adjust processes and systems as the company scales.
- Ability to create structure in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
- Demonstrated success in managing multiple stakeholders and resolving conflicts within teams, prioritizing, and driving results with a high emphasis on quality.
- Advanced data skills, including proficiency in Excel, Sheets, and Looker.
- Undergraduate degree is required.
- Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check.
