Job Description
The Analyst Associate, Capital Markets supports Palmetto Finance's capital raising activities by developing financial models, executing funding processes, and maintaining relationships with external partners to facilitate investments in renewable energy projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute Excel financial models to support tax equity and debt capital funding
- Lead the execution of tax equity, debt, and equity funding processes with external stakeholders
- Report financial activities to key stakeholders and collaborate with technology teams to automate reports
- Enhance existing processes and workflows for increased efficiency in capital markets activities
- Build and maintain relationships with banks and external partners involved in capital raising
- Collaborate with internal teams such as Finance, Accounting, and Technology to ensure transparency and partnership
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field; a master's degree or MBA is a plus
- 3-5 years of experience in banking or capital markets; solar industry experience is preferred
- Strong business acumen and analytical skills with a deep understanding of the macroeconomic landscape
- Experience developing and executing Excel financial models to support Tax Equity and Debt capital funding
- Experience leading the execution of tax equity, debt, and equity funding processes with external stakeholders
- Ability to report to key financial stakeholders and partner with technology teams to ensure automation on reports
- Proactively identify improvement opportunities across systems and processes, and implement solutions
- Highly motivated and able to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment where priorities may change quickly
- Collaborate seamlessly with internal teams such as Finance, Accounting, and Technology
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present to varying audiences and leaders
