Job Description
This role involves representing Canonical and its open source enterprise solutions in the assigned territory, developing new business opportunities, managing customer relationships, and achieving sales targets through strategic account management and technical solution selling.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent the company and its solutions within the assigned territory
- Develop and execute a territory plan to prioritize outreach and prospecting
- Build and maintain a sales pipeline through outreach, marketing, and industry events
- Close contracts to meet or exceed quarterly and annual bookings targets
- Manage customer relationships throughout all stages of the sales cycle
- Collaborate with technical teams to propose solutions addressing customer business problems
- Identify growth opportunities and maintain accurate pipeline data and forecasts
- Establish and develop relationships with key industry influencers and decision-makers
- Travel regionally and internationally for client engagement, industry conferences, and company events
Requirements
- Proven ability to navigate complex sales cycles and work effectively with multiple decision-makers.
- Strong experience working with specialized telco providers or within telco organizations, including building and maintaining strong relationships with key telco providers such as Du, Etisalat, Vodafone, Zain, Mobily, STC, etc.
- Ability to build and develop opportunities across the telco sector in the entire Middle East and North Africa region.
- Experience driving adoption of network virtualization and open-source technologies within the telco sector.
- Track record of achievement in sales targets and new account wins.
- Ability to prospect accounts for new business, maintain and develop existing relationships, and work with colleagues and partners on account strategy.
- Ability to represent the company, its solutions, and software in your territory.

- Work with customer success teams to identify growth opportunities.
- Maintain accurate pipeline data and forecasts within Salesforce.
- Establish productive professional relationships with key influencers and decision makers.
- Be willing and able to travel regionally for client engagement, industry conferences, and internationally for company events twice a year.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, including cloud, middleware, and network technologies.
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in engineering or computer science.
- Professional written and spoken English skills.
- Self-discipline and motivation to be successful in a distributed team.
- Ability to travel for customer engagements, industry events, and company events.
