Job Description
A strategic and technical leadership role responsible for shaping and overseeing the company's TechOps infrastructure, focusing on identity management, scripting, device management, and scalable tooling, while supporting the team and solving complex operational challenges in a cloud-first environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Make high-level strategic and architectural technical decisions for the business
- Support and assist with day-to-day 1st, 2nd, and 3rd line IT support
- Design and implement sustainable solutions in identity management, scripting, device management, and scalable tooling
- Identify areas for improvement and help the team develop effective solutions
- Shape and communicate the technical direction and work processes within TechOps
- Maintain awareness of user issues and the impact of technical decisions on the organization
- Leverage broad and deep IT knowledge, with expertise in Identity and Access Management
Requirements
- Proven experience in making high-level strategic and architectural technical decisions around the business.
- Strong knowledge and experience in Identity and Access Management (IAM), recognized as an expert among peers.
- Experience with scripting, device management, and scalable tooling to develop thoughtful, sustainable solutions.
- Ability to support day-to-day 1st, 2nd, and 3rd line support activities.
- Wide breadth of knowledge and experience across all areas of IT, with an immensely deep understanding of many of those areas.
- Interest and/or experience in related areas such as software engineering, security, platform architecture, UI/UX design.
- Previous roles held that are relevant include IAM Engineer, Tech Lead, Lead Senior Support Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer, Systems Architect, Systems Designer, Senior Systems Engineer, Workplace Technology Architect, or Solutions Architect.
- Ability to analyze and improve existing processes and systems, spotting areas for improvement and making sustainable changes.
- Excellent judgment and ability to support a growing, people-first business with a focus on supporting teams and balancing technical curiosity with practicality.
- Experience working in a cloud-first environment, with no on-premises Active Directory (AD).
