The Tax Manager will be responsible for leading tax strategy, compliance, and risk management for a portfolio of energy transition funds in the Asia-Pacific region, working closely with investment and finance teams to support early-stage renewable energy investments and infrastructure assets.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the central tax lead for a group of energy transition funds in the Asia-Pacific region.
Develop and implement fund-level tax strategies and governance frameworks.
Oversee compliance, reporting, and risk management related to tax obligations.
Manage transaction execution from a tax perspective.
Collaborate with investment teams, portfolio companies, finance teams, and external advisors across multiple jurisdictions.
Requirements
Experience taking primary responsibility for a defined group of funds investing in energy transition technologies and early-stage businesses, with a venture capital private equity-style investment strategy, focusing on the Asia-Pacific region, and investing across a broad range of renewable energy assets.
Ability to act as the central tax lead for these funds, working closely with investment teams, portfolio companies, finance teams, and external advisors across multiple jurisdictions.
Experience in fund-level tax strategy and governance, including oversight of compliance, reporting, risk management, and transaction execution.
Hands-on experience with early-stage equity investments, minority growth stakes, cross-border holding structures, and infrastructure assets across diverse Asia-Pacific jurisdictions.
