Job Description
A Senior TechOps Generalist at Octopus will be responsible for supporting and shaping the company's modern, cloud-first IT operations, handling a wide range of enterprise IT tasks from support to strategic planning, and ensuring secure and efficient organizational growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support and resolve technical issues for employees across the organization.
- Manage and maintain cloud-based enterprise IT infrastructure.
- Participate in strategic planning for IT operations and organizational change.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex IT problems using engineering expertise.
- Ensure security and safety of IT systems and processes.
Requirements
- Deep experience in several facets of Enterprise IT, including roles such as Systems Engineer, DevOps, Tech Support, Technical Support Analyst, IT Support, IT Desktop Support, Systems Administrator, Network Administrator, Workplace Technology, Solutions Specialist, Solutions Administrator, Systems Manager, or Support Manager.
- Proven ability to work in a cloud-first environment, with experience in managing or supporting cloud-based infrastructure and services.
- Experience dealing with ambiguity and working on varying challenges across the company on a daily basis.
- Strong understanding of modern enterprise IT practices, including support from 1st line support to high-level strategic planning.
- Ability to provide a world-class support service to employees, including building solutions to problems with engineering firepower.
- Experience in undertaking transformational organizational change within an IT context.
- Demonstrated ability to work securely and safely in managing enterprise IT environments.
