Job Description
The Senior Product Manager will lead the development of innovative energy products and tools focused on making energy more flexible, supporting demand automation, grid balancing, and renewable integration, while working closely with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development of next-generation energy products and tools to enhance energy flexibility.
- Manage and optimize products like Intelligent Octopus, Saving Sessions, and large grid-scale batteries to automate demand shift, save costs, and balance the energy system.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, operations, and data to deliver impactful products.
Requirements
- Experience in product management or a related role supporting the development of products and tools to make energy more flexible.
- Proven ability to develop and manage products used by large customer bases, including automating demand shift for 300,000 customers with electric cars, home batteries, or smart heating devices.
- Experience in creating products that help save money for customers, such as Saving Sessions and Free Electricity Sessions, impacting at least 2 million customers.
- Experience in managing large grid-scale batteries, specifically managing 568MW of batteries to balance the energy system.
- Strong understanding of energy systems, renewable energy integration, and decarbonization strategies.
- Ability to work in an agile, open, and innovative culture with flat hierarchies.
- Excellent collaboration skills to work side by side with teams across marketing, operations, and data.
- Demonstrated ownership and variety in product development responsibilities.
- Ability to support the development of next-generation products and tools for energy flexibility.
- Strong communication skills to articulate product vision and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
