Job Description
The Senior Global Finance Manager will oversee and develop financial controls across Octopus Energy's international operations, review new business initiatives, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and support rapid organizational growth in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee global financial control processes in coordination with the Group Financial Controller
- Partner with local operations to mature their finance structures and operations
- Conduct technical reviews of new initiatives, including restructurings, mergers and acquisitions, and new lines of business
- Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards across global operations
- Identify and address audit risks to maintain accounting excellence and consistency
Requirements
- Experience in local and international accounting standards and large, fast-paced, rapidly growing, global organisations.
- Hands-on experience identifying and addressing audit risks.
- Experience in implementing accounting excellence and consistency.
- Ability to work closely with the Group Financial Controller to drive the development of Group financial control across global operations.
- Partnering with local operations to mature their finance structures and operations.
- Involvement in technical review of new initiatives in the broader group including restructurings, Mergers and Acquisitions, and new lines of business.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Availability for international travel as part of the role.
