The Portfolio Manager will oversee the management and optimization of renewable energy investment portfolios, ensuring high standards in governance, reporting, and financial oversight, while driving asset performance and value enhancement across solar and wind projects.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and oversee all fund management processes for assigned portfolios, including investor equity and lender debt management.
Ensure high standards of governance, reporting, and financial oversight for the funds.
Optimize asset performance, manage capital structures, and execute exits to deliver investment returns.
Produce accurate and insightful investor reporting, including quarterly valuations, board materials, lender reports, and performance analysis.
Act as a steward of investor capital by challenging assumptions, identifying optimization opportunities, and making hold versus sell decisions.
Continuously improve fund management processes to enhance scalability and maintain investor confidence and governance standards.
Requirements
Experience as a Portfolio Manager with full accountability for the quality, rigour, and delivery of all fund management processes, including Investor Equity and Lender Debt Management.
Proven experience as a people manager with at least one direct report.
Strong governance, reporting, and financial oversight skills, ensuring these are delivered to a consistently high standard.
Experience managing a portfolio of renewable energy assets, specifically across solar, onshore wind, and offshore wind projects.
Experience with disciplined value optimisation to deliver returns through asset performance enhancement, capital structure management, and exits.
Ability to produce clear, accurate, and insightful investor reporting, including quarterly valuations, board materials, lender reporting, and performance analysis.
Ability to challenge assumptions, identify optimisation opportunities, and make structured hold versus sell decisions.
Experience in continuously improving fund management processes to ensure scalability as Assets Under Management (AUM) grows.
Ability to maintain strong investor confidence and governance standards.
Experience in managing fund management processes within a timeframe of up to 4 weeks, with flexibility to adapt to different schedules.
Strong commercial judgement and process discipline in fund management activities.
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with recruitment teams and stakeholders throughout different stages of engagement.
Ability to act as a steward of investor capital, demonstrating responsibility and strategic thinking in fund management.
