Job Description

A Dual Fuel Smart Meter Engineer responsible for installing and demonstrating smart meters in customers' homes, providing energy-saving advice, and ensuring excellent customer service as part of the Octopus Energy Services team.

Key Responsibilities

Install dual fuel smart meters in customers' homes
Demonstrate and explain the operation of meters and in-home displays to customers
Educate customers on how their meters can help save energy
Answer customer questions related to smart meters and energy efficiency
Ensure safety and maintain customer service excellence during installations

Requirements

Experience as a smart meter engineer with a track record of safety and customer excellence
Ability to represent the company's brand in customers' homes and communicate effectively with customers
Willingness to install dual fuel smart meters and demonstrate how the meter and in-home display work
Ability to explain to customers how their meter and in-home display can help them save energy
Capability to answer customer questions about green energy and the renewable energy revolution
Willingness to work as part of the Octopus Energy Services team, supporting performance goals and delivering top-class service
Ability to adapt to evolving processes and shift focus from administrative tasks to customer service, supported by company technology
Availability to undergo a process that typically takes up to 4 weeks, with flexibility to accommodate individual needs
Ability to communicate with the recruitment team throughout the hiring process
