Job Description
A Dual Fuel Smart Meter Engineer responsible for installing and demonstrating smart meters in customers' homes, providing energy-saving advice, and ensuring excellent customer service as part of the Octopus Energy Services team.
Key Responsibilities
- Install dual fuel smart meters in customers' homes
- Demonstrate and explain how meters and in-home displays work
- Show customers how to use meters to save energy
- Answer customer questions about the green energy revolution
- Ensure safety and customer service excellence during installations
Requirements
- Experience as a smart meter engineer with a proven track record of safety and customer excellence.
- Ability to represent the company's brands professionally in customers' homes.
- Comfortable communicating with customers, including explaining how meters and in-home displays work, how they can help save energy, and answering questions about green energy initiatives.
- Willingness to perform meter installations and demonstrate the functionality of meters and in-home displays to customers.
- Ability to work as part of the Octopus Energy Services team, supporting company performance goals and delivering top-class service.
- Willingness to adapt to evolving processes and technologies to improve efficiency and customer service.
- Availability to undergo a process that typically takes up to 4 weeks, with flexibility to accommodate individual needs.
- Ability to communicate effectively with the recruitment team and support staff throughout the hiring process.
- Willingness to request and accept reasonable accommodations during the interview process if needed.
