Job Description
A Data Engineer at Octopus Energy's Energy Markets team will build and maintain efficient databases, APIs, pipelines, and applications to support critical forecasting, trading, risk management, and PPA processes, contributing to a smarter and cleaner energy future.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain efficient databases, APIs, pipelines, and applications for energy market processes
- Support critical forecasting, trading, risk management, and PPA operations
- Develop platform infrastructure to ensure reliable data flow and system performance
- Solve complex data engineering and business-critical problems in the energy sector
Requirements
- Experience in building efficient databases, APIs, pipelines, and applications to support critical forecasting, trading, risk, and PPA processes.
- Ability to work in the London office 2-3 days a week.
