Job Description
A Mid-Level Backend Developer at Octopus Energy will work on developing and shaping digital energy products that help customers save money and live greener, collaborating across teams to deliver impactful solutions in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend systems for energy services
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to shape product features
- Implement scalable and efficient backend solutions
- Contribute to the integration of smart meters, heat pumps, and tariffs
- Ensure the reliability and security of backend applications
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Backend Developer with a solid understanding of backend technologies and architecture.
- Experience working in a mid-level role, demonstrating the ability to handle responsibilities independently and collaboratively.
- Ability to work side by side with teams across marketing, operations, and data to develop and shape products.
- Strong ownership skills and the ability to see the impact of your work in the real world, quickly and effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Commitment to honesty and empathy in professional interactions and teamwork.
