Job Description
A Product Manager role focused on developing and managing data infrastructure and labeling systems to support autonomous vehicle development, ensuring data quality, scalability, and efficiency across engineering, operations, and external vendors.
Key Responsibilities
- Build visibility into data through dashboards that reconcile mileage, show collection coverage, and identify missing data
- Define requirements for smarter data collection routing to improve targeting efficiency
- Develop tooling to support scalable data infrastructure across multiple vehicles and cities
- Own labeling standards, approve labeling specifications, and establish quality thresholds
- Design and prioritize labeling infrastructure improvements and cost reduction strategies
Requirements
- You have 2 to 5 years of product management experience, ideally with exposure to data platforms, ML infrastructure, operations tooling, or vendor management.
- You are comfortable digging into data pipelines, writing SQL, and building dashboards when they do not exist yet.
- You can define a long-term infrastructure vision and also document acceptance criteria or audit vendor output.
- You communicate crisply across technical and non-technical audiences, working daily with engineers, ML researchers, operations teams, and external vendors.
- You take ownership of messy problems, are energized by ambiguity, and can build structure where fragmented processes and incomplete systems exist.
- You ship solutions with a bias toward action and delivering working solutions over perfect plans.
- You operate at both altitude and ground level, capable of defining long-term infrastructure goals and executing detailed tasks.
- You hold systems accountable by measuring processes, identifying where they break, and fixing them.
- You are able to build visibility into data, including shipping dashboards that reconcile mileage across sources, show collection coverage, and indicate missing data.
- You can optimize data collection by defining requirements for smarter data collection routing to improve targeting efficiency, reduce miles driven, and increase high-value data captured.
- You can develop tooling to support 150 vehicles operating across multiple cities.
- You can raise the bar on labeling quality by owning labeling specs approval, defining pass/fail quality thresholds, and designing vendor audit frameworks to quantify confidence in output.
- You can prioritize engineering investments in labeling infrastructure and identify cost reduction opportunities such as pre-labeling, smarter task routing, and reducing redundant QA.
