A temporary People Operations Coordinator responsible for supporting employee onboarding, maintaining HR data accuracy, and streamlining HR processes in a fast-paced, high-growth environment at Nuro.
Key Responsibilities
Execute high-volume onboarding for new hires, including background checks, I-9 verification, and Day 1 readiness.
Maintain and update the New Hire Tracker and process employee data transactions in HR systems like Workday.
Follow up with new hires, recruiting, and internal partners to confirm start dates, resolve blockers, and manage changes.
Identify onboarding friction points and improve processes, trackers, templates, and checklists to enhance efficiency and quality.
Requirements
Have 2 years of experience in People Operations, HR coordination, Recruiting Coordination, or HR administration, ideally in a high-growth or scaling environment.
Experience coordinating compliance-oriented steps such as background checks, I-9 verification, and other onboarding processes.
Have directly supported employee onboarding workflows and managed high-volume, deadline-driven work.
Communicate clearly and professionally, providing excellent service to employees, candidates, and hiring teams.
Be exceptionally organized with a strong attention to detail, taking pride in maintaining clean data, well-documented processes, and timely follow-through.
Handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.

Work schedule: Temporary, full-time position with an expected end date of 4 months from hire
