Job Description
A mechanical engineering role focused on CAD design, prototype development, and testing of sensor integration components for self-driving vehicle technology at Nuro's headquarters and facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Design sensor vehicle integration components using CAD software (NX Teamcenter).
- Develop and fabricate prototypes of structural and appearance components, testing jigs, and fit check parts.
- Conduct research projects to advance technology and testing methodologies.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with designing, building, and testing working systems projects, clubs, etc.
- Two years of undergraduate curriculum in mechanical engineering
- One project class experience with shop environment and rapid prototyping
- One project class experience with Matlab, Python, or other scripting software for simulation
- One project class experience using 3D CAD tools for schoolwork and/or previous internships
- Strong knowledge of materials and mechanical design fundamentals
- Strong knowledge of prototype and mass production manufacturing processes
- Proficiency in using precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges

Compensation/salary range: base pay starting at $8,000 (actual pay depends on experience, qualifications, education, location, and skills)
