Job Description
A temporary IT support role responsible for providing technical assistance across macOS, Linux, and Windows environments, maintaining IT infrastructure, and supporting collaboration tools within a self-driving technology company.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 1 and 2 technical support for macOS, Linux, and Windows environments, including hardware, OS, and application troubleshooting.
- Manage end-to-end onboarding and offboarding of workstations, including imaging, application installation, account provisioning, and license administration.
- Support network setup, diagnose and resolve LAN/WAN connectivity issues, and configure conference room AV and collaboration systems.
- Maintain accurate inventory and lifecycle tracking of IT assets, ensuring timely updates and proper asset management.
- Perform routine maintenance and administration of network and server systems across office and data center environments.
- Document incidents, resolutions, and create runbooks to improve support processes and knowledge sharing.
- Support IT financial operations such as procurement, contract management, and SaaS license usage monitoring.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Information Systems, or 2 to 4 years of relevant IT support experience
- Strong troubleshooting skills across macOS, Linux, and Windows environments
- Working knowledge of networking fundamentals including LAN, WAN, TCP IP, DNS, and directory services
- Familiarity with automation and scripting such as shell scripts, command line tools, or Ansible
- Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills with a strong customer service orientation
- Proven problem solving ability and a self directed approach to learning new tools and concepts quickly
- Ability to handle multiple, often urgent, requests simultaneously while meeting defined SLAs
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Participate in an on call rotation and provide after hours or occasional abnormal shift coverage as needed
- Deliver responsive Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for macOS, Linux, and Windows, including hardware, OS, and application troubleshooting
- Own end to end onboarding and offboarding workstation preparation including imaging builds, application installation, configuration, account provisioning and deprovisioning, email distribution list management, access grants and revocations, and software license administration
- Support network setup and structured cabling, diagnose and resolve LAN/WAN connectivity issues
- Configure and support conference room AV and collaboration systems including VoIP phones, TVs, Google Meet, and Zoom
- Maintain accurate inventory and lifecycle tracking for IT assets, ensuring timely updates and assignment integrity
- Perform routine maintenance and administration of network and server systems across office and data center environments
- Document incidents, resolutions, and runbooks, and contribute to the knowledge base to improve first contact resolution and overall quality
- Support IT financial operations, including procurement and contract management
Benefits & Perks
Compensation/salary range between $96,210 and $130,280 annually
