Job Description

A Senior Product Manager responsible for overseeing and strategizing the Salesforce platform within Nexamp, focusing on streamlining workflows, managing stakeholder expectations, and driving platform improvements to support the company's clean energy mission.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead discovery of Salesforce workflows, data dependencies, and pain points across departments.
  • Define and own the Salesforce product roadmap, prioritizing backlog based on impact and strategy.
  • Translate stakeholder requests into simplified workflows and technical requirements for engineering.
  • Partner with technical leads to evaluate build, configure, or redirect decisions for Salesforce solutions.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate tradeoffs regarding scope and sequencing.
  • Establish product processes for intake, prioritization, and delivery tracking to improve platform management.
  • Implement data ownership standards and governance practices within Salesforce.
  • Define success metrics for Salesforce initiatives and ensure accountability for outcomes.

Requirements

  • 7 years of product management experience, with demonstrated ownership of enterprise platforms with multiple competing stakeholder groups
  • Proven ability to untangle complex existing systems, not just build net-new solutions
  • Strong facilitation and stakeholder management skills, especially in environments with cross-departmental dependencies
  • Experience simplifying and documenting business processes into clear technical requirements
  • Comfort operating as a solutions architect evaluating whether a request is a platform problem, a process problem, or both
  • Demonstrated experience in effectively communicating information, ideas, and perspectives with people inside and beyond the organization
  • Experience in showcasing initiative to make improvements to current work, processes, products, and services across the organization
  • Ability to ask appropriate questions, analyze data, identify root causes of problems, and present creative solutions
  • Expertise in building strong internal and external relationships with customers and stakeholders, instilling trust and loyalty
  • Eagerness to develop a fundamental understanding of how Nexamp operates and apply that knowledge to inform business decisions
  • Experience establishing data ownership standards and governance practices within Salesforce to reduce redundancy and improve data quality
  • Ability to define success metrics for Salesforce initiatives and drive accountability toward measurable outcomes
  • Ability to lead discovery across departments to map existing Salesforce workflows, data dependencies, and pain points
  • Ability to define and own the Salesforce product roadmap, prioritizing a deep backlog against business impact and strategic alignment
  • Experience translating complex, conflicting stakeholder requests into simplified workflows and well-scoped requirements for engineering teams
  • Partnering with technical leads to evaluate build-vs-configure-vs-redirect decisions confidently steering work to the right platform
  • Experience establishing repeatable product processes such as intake, prioritization, and delivery tracking
  • Physical or operational requirements: Ability to work in a hybrid environment out of the Boston, MA office
  • Educational or professional background: Demonstrated ownership of enterprise platforms and product management experience
