Job Description
The Program Manager, Planning Scheduling at Nexamp is responsible for managing project schedules throughout the full lifecycle of renewable energy projects, optimizing efficiency, coordinating teams, and ensuring timely delivery to support the company's clean energy mission.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage project schedules throughout the full lifecycle from development to final completion for distributed generation, commercial industrial, and utility-scale solar projects.
- Communicate portfolio progress, including schedule, budget, and key metrics, to leadership and stakeholders.
- Hire, coach, and manage schedulers, setting expectations and driving team performance and growth.
- Integrate individual project schedules into a master schedule, resolving conflicts and dependencies proactively.
- Standardize schedule templates, workflows, and data across platforms to ensure accuracy and alignment with SOPs and KPIs.
- Perform critical path analysis, identify risks, and provide reports and recommendations to optimize project timelines.
- Identify inefficiencies and lead cross-functional initiatives to improve scheduling practices and execution.
Requirements
- 7 years of relevant experience across project execution and data optimization in construction management.
- Prior experience in a renewables industry is preferred.
- Working knowledge of various areas of construction including civil construction, electrical construction, and utility construction.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
- Extensive knowledge of P6 Primavera scheduling software.
- Knowledge of Procore, Sigma, P6 interface, or equivalent scheduling and construction management tools.
- Demonstrated experience in engaging and inspiring teams to excel while focusing on the growth and well-being of team members.
- Ability to effectively communicate information, ideas, and perspectives with people inside and beyond the organization.
- Experience in showcasing initiative to make improvements to current work, processes, products, and services across the organization.
- Ability to ask appropriate questions, analyze data, identify root causes of problems, and present creative solutions.
- Expertise in building strong internal and external relationships with customers and stakeholders, instilling trust and loyalty.
- Eagerness to develop a fundamental understanding of how Nexamp operates and apply that knowledge to inform business decisions.
