Job Description

The role involves leading post-close financing operations for renewable energy portfolios, ensuring accurate execution, risk management, and compliance across construction debt and long-term ownership phases, while managing a team and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead post-close financing operations across portfolios, ensuring execution, risk management, and prioritization.
  • Manage funding conditions precedent, borrowing requirements, and integrated borrowing schedules for construction debt facilities.
  • Coordinate delivery of conditions precedent packages, including project documents, real estate materials, and regulatory items.
  • Oversee lender and investor reporting processes, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
  • Develop risk assessments related to financing, including potential slippage and covenant pressures, and recommend actions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve tools, dashboards, SOPs, and processes for operational efficiency.
  • Build and lead a Finance Operations team, establishing routines that promote ownership and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of experience in project finance, construction financing operations, portfolio operations, structured asset finance, or similar roles in a financing-heavy environment.
  • At least 5 years of experience leading and managing teams in relevant roles.
  • Demonstrated experience running complex, multi-party financing or compliance processes.
  • Strong familiarity with strategic finance concepts, including capital structure, covenant packages, portfolio economics, and pro forma modeling.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
  • Experience building or refining processes, tools, and dashboards to manage recurring workflows at scale.
  • Exposure to infrastructure, energy, or other asset-heavy industries.
  • Familiarity with tax equity or other structured tax credit financing.
  • Demonstrated experience in effectively communicating information, ideas, and perspectives with people inside and beyond the organization.
  • Experience in showcasing initiative to make improvements to current work, processes, products, and services across the organization.
  • Ability to ask appropriate questions, analyze data, identify root causes of problems, and present creative solutions.
  • Expertise in building strong internal and external relationships with customers and stakeholders, and leading cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment.
  • Eagerness to develop a fundamental understanding of how Nexamp operates and apply that knowledge to inform business decisions.
  • Previous experience engaging and inspiring teams to excel while focusing on the growth and well-being of team members.
