The Operations Management and Field Service Manager oversees daily activities at solar tracker project sites, trains and mentors technicians, monitors site performance, and ensures accurate reporting, requiring project management, technical, and customer service skills in the solar PV industry.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and oversee day-to-day activities at active tracker project sites
Train, mentor, and develop field technicians
Develop training plans for field technicians
Ensure accurate reporting from field technicians for customers and internal teams
Manage project schedules and coordinate site activities
Analyze data, troubleshoot electronics, and assess mechanical components of PV tracker systems
Design and implement long-term solutions for ongoing site issues
Apply project management principles to ensure project success
Requirements
Previous O M experience managing Solar PV Power Plants
Understanding of the mechanical installation of tracker components
Basic electronics troubleshooting skills
Experience with reporting and data analysis related to solar power plants
Project management experience
High level of customer service aptitude
Strong computer skills with experience using Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word
Ability to accurately analyze data, design, and deploy effective action plans to satisfy customer needs and company goals
Ability to identify ongoing issues and implement long-term solutions
Willingness to travel at least 10-20% of the time for company off-sites, conferences, trade shows, site visits, and other events
